Papeles del Psicólogo es una revista científico-profesional, cuyo objetivo es publicar revisiones, meta-análisis, soluciones, descubrimientos, guías, experiencias y métodos de utilidad para abordar problemas y cuestiones que surgen en la práctica profesional de cualquier área de la Psicología. Se ofrece también como foro para contrastar opiniones y fomentar el debate sobre enfoques o cuestiones que suscitan controversia.
Las revistas científicas definen el "research front" de cualquier disciplina académica. Existe una interacción característica entre nivel de desarrollo institucional e implantación social y número y diversidad de revistas. Esto es especialmente claro en el caso de la psicología española. Se ofrece una historia, básicamente interna, del proceso antes mencionado, que, partiendo de la psicotecnia, de las aplicaciones, acabó definiendo una disciplina (formación universitaria, fuerte desarrollo psicotecnológico, implantación y especialización profesional, anclaje institucional) científica de gran impacto y fuertemente reconocida.

Se destaca el incremento de la colegiación y del patrimonio, los convenios firmados con instituciones, las múltiples actividades realizadas, los servicios y las publicaciones. Estos datos dan cuenta de la creciente implantación de nuestra profesión en Asturias.

This article describes the development of the Balearic Islands Delegation of the Spanish Psychological Association, from its creation to the present. Between the large amount of facts and tasks, we remark the great growth of membership we have got over the last years, and the setting of working contacts with public and private organizations. All of these allows and increases the active presence of the psychologist in our society.

En este artículo se analiza la importancia de los criterios que se utilizan para cuantificar la producción cientifica, tanto a nivel de cantidad como en relación a la calidad. Se describen y se comentan los criterios más utilizados: "internacional" "el factor impacto" y "el idioma (castellano o inglÉs). Se analiza la problematica que supone usar cada uno de estos criterios y sus consecuencias sobre los resultados que se obtienen en este tipo de estudios.

Así pues, se critica tanto la psicoterapia post-moderna como la condición de la post-modernidad.
